Refund Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At The Cozy Writer’s Nook, we strive to provide high-quality physical products and professional creative services. Because our offerings range from handmade journals to personalized manuscript editing, our refund policies vary by item type.

1. Physical Goods (Journals, Books, & Media)

​

  • Returns: You have 30 calendar days to return a physical item from the date you received it. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as received.

  • Non-Refundable: Personalized or custom-made journals and digital downloads (PDFs/E-books) are non-refundable.

  • Damages: If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and product to initiate a replacement.
     

2. Professional Services (Editing & Coaching)

Due to the intensive nature of creative services, the following terms apply to all editing, coaching, and consulting projects:

​

  • Deposits: Any booking deposit required to secure a spot on the editing calendar is non-refundable, as it reserves time that could have been offered to other clients.

  • Work in Progress: If a project is canceled after work has begun, the client is responsible for payment for all hours or chapters completed up to the date of cancellation.

  • Final Delivery: Once the final edited manuscript or consulting report has been delivered to the client, no refunds will be issued.

  • Satisfaction Guarantee: For full manuscripts, we provide a "Sample Edit" (usually the first 1,000 words) before a full contract is signed to ensure our editing styles are a match.
     

3. Workshops & Events

  • Cancellations: Full refunds are available if you cancel your registration at least 7 days before the scheduled workshop.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are eligible for a 50% refund or a credit toward a future workshop.

  • No-Shows: No refunds or credits will be issued for missed sessions without prior notice.
     

4. Refund Process
 

Once a refund is approved:
 

  • Payment: Credits will be issued to your original method of payment.

  • Timeline: Most refunds appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank's policies.

  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping costs for physical goods are non-refundable.
